FAQs: How to log when the procedure isn't in the dropdown list?

ReD procedures have been curated by a team of subject matter experts. The systems contains almost all ophthalmic procedures that a trainee may have the opportunity to perform, assist with or observe during their rotations.
However, there may be times when the procedure you might want to log isn't in the Procedure dropdown list. In this case, please follow the steps below:

1. Click on 'Create single log' to open the log entry form.

2. In the procedure name field, type 'Other', scroll down to the option and select it.

When you select the 'Other' option, a text field will be displayed below the Procedure Name field.

3. Type the name of the procedure you wish to log.

4. Complete the rest of the form as usual.

You can filter all these procedures by using the filter as shown below:

Log page filter

Summary filter

The csv file will list all the procedures logged via this feature.

Please note, the RMNoPs are all included in the ReD procedure list. Please do not log any RMNoPs using this feature as it will neither be captured in the Dashboard nor the summaries (pdf and csv).
