New features - Surgical Logbook

Overview

The new Surgical Logbook will be included within the RANZCO e-Diary.  The new Surgical Logbook has been designed to allow a trainee to log their procedures for their Vocational Training Program (VTP) requirements but also as a personal record of ALL procedures.  Once a trainee has completed the VTP, the Surgical Logbook can continue to be used throughout the users career.
The new Surgical Logbook will be available in web version and an app version. The app version will be compatible for android and also apple devices. The user will be able to enter data online and offline.

Logging into the new Surgical Logbook

The user will be signing into the Surgical Logbook either through the new portal or through the app on their mobile device.

The new Surgical Logbook will display a dashboard with summary snapshots of the data that you have entered.

The + icon options

The + icon will be displayed on many screens through the Surgical Logbook, to provide the user with quick access to the create record options, which are:
  1. Create Single Surgical Log
  2. Create Multiple Surgical Logs
  3. Create Single Simulation Log
  4. Create Multiple Simulation Logs
Create icon (mobile version)

Create a record

A record will be created with 'mandatory' fields and also 'optional' fields. The user will be able to enter additional data on a case in the 'optional' fields.

        

Confirmation of a created record

A user will receive confirmation that the record has been created,  From this confirmation screen they will be able to edit the record, editing the record is not required, then the user can close and create a new record by clicking on the + icon,

A user can create multiple records for various selected parameters.

An intuitive search bar is provided on the dashboard of the Surgical Logbook.
